Utility Work Program
For Work on Broward County Aviation Department Property
Any utility or its contractor(s) desiring to perform work at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) or North Perry Airport (HWO) must first register the work by completing the Utility Registration Application. The Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD), Airport Development, Capital Improvement Projects Division issues these utility registrations. BCAD property includes Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International and North Perry Airports.
When is a Utility Work Registration Application Required?
When placing, extending or repairing any pipes, ducts, structures, vaults, manholes, cables, wire, roadway structure or appurtenances, or for any other purposes, such as surveying, layout or subsurface utility exploration (SUE) or utility testing, impacting airport property.
Utility Registration Application and Review
Make your requests for utility registration through the Capital Improvement Projects Division within Airport Development. There is no charge for the utility registration or the utility registration review process. Emergency utility registration requests will be processed as expeditiously as possible, typically 1 or 2 working days. Non-emergency utility registration will typically be processed within 10 working days.

- Complete the Utility Work Program Application (PDF) and select the Submit Via Email button.
Ground Transportation Permits
To obtain a Ground Transportation Permit, you must print and then complete the
Ground Transportation Permit Packet (PDF).

Vehicles Permits For Up To 19 Passengers And Courtesy Vehicles
The Broward County Permitting, Licensing, and Consumer Protection Division issues prearranged ground transportation permits authorizing vehicles for hire that accommodate up to 19 passengers other than the driver to pick up passengers.
Vehicle Permits For More Than 20 Passengers
SP Plus issues permits for vehicles accommodating more than 20 passengers other than the driver. Visit the Division's website for
details on the permit process.
