Vaccinations are an important part of your pet's health and well-being. A schedule of regular vaccines, as determined by your veterinarian, is crucial in order to keep your dog or cat free of disease.

Rabies Vaccinations

Broward County Animal Care provides rabies vaccinations to all dogs and cats residing within the County. The vaccine is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3 pm*, at our Adoption Center, 1870 SW 39 Street, Fort Lauderdale, 33315.

  • No appointment is necessary.
  • All dogs must be on a leash and all cats in a carrier.
  • Clients are seen on a first come - first served basis.
  • Please be prepared to wait.

*PLEASE NOTE:  Wednesday, September 30, 2015, will be the last day that rabies vaccinations will be made available at the Broward Couny Animal Care Adoption Center.

After September 30, residents in need of a rabies vaccination for their pet can visit a local veterinary provider or attend any of the Rabies Clinic events held throughout the County each month.

Rabies Clinics

Every month, Animal Care provides rabies vaccinations, Registration Tags and microchips for a nominal fee at one of our neighborhood Rabies Clinics. All Broward County residents are invited to attend.
