Howard T. Katz received his B.S. in Studio Art from Florida State University, and his M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Northern Illinois University. He teaches full time at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he has been a faculty member since 1998. He teaches a variety of subjects from drawing and painting to art history and aesthetics. He also is Chair of the school’s Gallery Committee. Professionally Howard’s art explores perception in a variety of forms, from abstractions based on musical compositions to realistic representations of everyday objects. His work has been shown in various galleries and museums.
