Jarett Levan

JARETT S. LEVAN is President of BBX Capital (formerly known as BankAtlantic Bancorp), a diversified investment and asset management company. The business of BBX Capital includes real estate ownership, direct acquisition and joint venture equity in real estate, specialty finance, and the acquisition of controlling and non-controlling investments in operating businesses.  BBX Capital is a public company, whose stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “BBX”.  Mr. Levan also holds the position of Executive Vice President of BFC Financial (OTC:BFCF), a diversified holding company.  Mr. Levan serves as a member of the Board of Directors of BBX Capital and BFC Financial.

 Mr. Levan serves on the boards of Broward Performing Arts Foundation, Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale and Community Foundation of Broward, and is the Board Chair of the Business for the Arts of Broward. He is an appointed member of the Broward County Cultural Council and the Cultural Tourism Committee; a Board Member of the Broward Workshop and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, a member of the Nova Southeastern University Ambassadors’ Board and Fellows’ Society, and is a member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and the Florida Bar. Mr. Levan was the Steering Committee Chair of the 2020 Broward County Community Cultural Plan. 

The BBX Capital Foundation, formerly the BankAtlantic Foundation, was established in 1994 to support a wide array of activities in the arts, education, social welfare, and community and economic development.  The role of the foundation is to foster partnerships with other private sector organizations, not-for-profit institutions and government agencies. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $15 million in contributions and in-kind services to charitable organizations throughout the state of Florida.
