Agraduate of Florida Atlantic University, Adriane earned her BA in Communication and a certificate in Ethnic Studies in 1999. Prior to joining the Broward County Cultural Division in 2005, Ms. Clarke served as a Program Coordinator at the Urban League of Broward County, Inc. where her responsibilities included the management, implementation and evaluation of grant funded programs dedicated to the reduction of teen pregnancy in Broward County’s most at risk communities.
As an Arts Administrator, Adriane has provided guidance and support to artists and arts organizations who are seeking grant funding to support their local artistic endeavors. Ms. Clarke coordinates community-based outreach opportunities and provides technical assistance to artists and cultural organizations ensuring their successful navigation of the Division’s resources and opportunities.
A lover of the arts in general and the literary arts in particular, in 2015, Adriane earned an MA in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Originally from St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, she has been a Broward County resident since 1991.
