Gretchen Cassini joined the staff at Broward County in April 2012 as Assistant to the County Administrator.
She has 14 years of experience in local, state and federal intergovernmental affairs, research, teaching and administration. She formerly served as Broward County’s Director for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards since October 2009.
Her public service career began as a Legislative Aide to a State Senator, after which she acted as a visiting assistant professor in research at the Florida State University School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She has worked for Broward County Schools and was the Director of Grants and Governmental Relations for Barry University. Since 2002, Gretchen has been involved with the development of over one hundred federal, state and foundation grant applications, including several collaborative federal proposals awarded to Broward County.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Florida State University and Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law.
