The Terminal Design Guidelines Manual (Terminal DGM) has been developed for the Broward County Aviation Department
(BCAD) with modern design and performance optimization in mind.
Implementation will involve all future terminal area projects. In addition to the development of a consistent appearance and passenger experience, BCAD’s goal is also simplify the coordination and development process necessary for future design projects, facilitating maintenance and repair operations.
The Terminal DGM provides planners, architects, designers and engineers with design parameters that will direct their creative ideas and solutions toward innovative projects at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The document’s intent is to help bring each Design Professional’s ideas into the fabric of the airport which in and of itself represents its own unique regional features and local culture through the adopted Conceptual Design Statement of “your Portal to Paradise”.
