Americans for the Arts , the nation's leading arts agency, has developed a nine point policy recommendation in support of this platform.

|Americans for the Arts Merges with the Business Committee for the Arts|
Americans for the Arts, the nations leading arts agency has shown leadership in the arts domain, with spearheading various efforts to collaborate and merger with other national organizations, most recently the Business Committee for the Arts, in order to create one strong national organization to boost arts advocacy from the private sector.
The new partnership, announced in late 2008, is a means to further enable the organization to generate private-sector support for the arts and arts education by engaging and educating business leaders nationwide on the economic impact and value of the arts in business and community settings.
Private-sector support for the arts from individuals, foundations, and corporations, represents a critical piece of arts funding in America. In these uncertain economic times, it is important now more than ever to invest in the arts.
It’s an investment that improves quality of life for all, advances a company’s vision and brand, improves employee morale, and provides economic benefits to the entire community. In the new global economic landscape, real value and competitive advantage will be created by workers who drive creativity and innovation. These workers are fueled by arts in their lives, and in their education as young people.
