Broward Cultural Division is a local arts agency, one of thousands across the U.S., providing financial, technical and marketing assistance to artists and arts organizations. Broward County has more than 1.8 million residents, 13.4 million visitors, 10,000 artists, 6,523 arts-related businesses employing 23,497 people, 823 not-for-profit cultural organizations and 31 cities, some of which operate their own arts councils and public art programs.
The Cultural Division:

| CreativeBROWARD 2020 -Cultural Plan|
The Cultural+Planning Group worked in Broward County for 18 months conducting research to craft a 10-year Community Cultural Plan that examines the cultural tapestry of Broward County through its diversity connected to Creative Economy, Cultural Tourism and Public Art and Design.
The Executive Summary, as well as the full plan with its 49 recommendations/goals (also presented as a survey) are available online. The plan includes a needs assessment, vision, draft legislation, policy framework, recommendations, strategies, funding requirements, funding sources, evaluation instrument, and benchmarks. 2012 Creative Industries Reports conducted by Americans for the Arts, based upon Dun & Bradstreet data (as of January 2012): Broward County has 7,773 arts-related businesses and there are 26,755 arts-related jobs.

Public Art & Design projects are implemented each year as well as ongoing conservation of the Broward County collection of more than 250 artworks.

Cultural incentive programs, both project specific and general operating support, are awarded annually in varying amounts and ranges, to not-for-profit cultural organizations and artists.
