Artist As An Entrepreneur Institute
A Four-Weekend Seminar

June 1 - 22, 2019

Bring some business to your art by attending the annual Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI) on four consecutive Saturdays this June.

Open to artists in all creative fields, AEI’s lectures, panels and interactive workshops are led by South Florida’s top-ranking arts practitioners and industry professionals. From boosting business practices to strengthening sales, AEI has it covered – freeing you up to focus on your art.

June 22, the seminar's final Saturday, features a Business Plan Clinic and Workshop to guide attendees through the creation of a simple business plan - a vital tool for both artists and arts-based business owners.

Learn how to pitch to and work with lenders for financial support. Conducted by the Florida Small Business Development Center, the clinic invites attendees to submit business plans before June 22 for inclusion in the clinic's review. Attendees will also have an opportunity to network with AEI alumni.

The Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute -

June 2019 marks the 13th year of the Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI), a course of study designed to assist artists of all disciplines, by cultivating and advancing their business skills. To date, over 772 artists have completed the program.
Helping South Florida's creative professionals master business basics, AEI's dynamic series of lectures, workshops and panels primes the modern artist for entrepreneurship.

Want to boost sales, expand your customer base and network with other arts-based and business professionals? Hear local artists' paths to marketplace success - and pick up tips on turning your passion into a paying career.

Catering to artists in all disciplines and creative fields, AEI's twenty sessions are led by an elite faculty lineup of South Florida-based business practitioners and artists. Offered on June 1, 8, 15 and 22, 2019, the faculty members' presentations, demos and collaborative exercises are guaranteed to strengthen - and broaden - attendees' business skill sets.
