The Broward Cultural Division has provided support for individual artists since 2004. While grant support is often targeted toward 501(c)3 non-profit organizations, the Division recognized the need for support directly to individual artists early on. Since that time, the Division has granted $500k to individuals through its Artist Support Grants.

Additionally, the Cultural Division is a founding member of the South Florida Cultural Consortium, a unique reginal partnership between the counties of Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Martin, and Monroe.  Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded over to $4 million in grants to over 300 artists.​
