Broward Cultural Division strives to keep the public informed about Local CultCreativeandCulturalIndustriesSymposiumhandout.pdfural Events, Workshops, Community Cultural Services, Grants, Public Art, Art in Education, Community Cultural Locations, and much more.

Instrumental in supporting and informing the public about world-class arts and cultural facilities and quality events that enhance Broward’s lifestyle and the state of Florida, Broward County Cultural Division “is “dedicated to enhancing the cultural environment of Broward County through the development of the arts.”

With more than 1.8 million residents, 10.3 million visitors (2.1 million of those are international), 10,000 artists, 5,660 arts-related businesses employing 20,918 people, 550 not-for-profit cultural organizations and 31 municipalities within Broward County; there are numerous beneficiaries of the services, technical and marketing assistance; and grant funds through this local arts agency.

Creative Broward 2020 Plan 

A Plan for Cultural & Economic Development in Broward County.

The Cultural+Planning Group has been selected by Broward County to craft a 10-year Community Cultural Plan that examines diversity connected to Creative Economy, Cultural Tourism and Public Art and Design, and provides a comprehensive needs assessment, vision, draft legislation, policy framework, recommendations, strategies, funding requirements, funding sources, evaluation instrument, and benchmarks.   Click here to read more.

Since 1995 when the Florida ‘State of the Arts’ license plate was first introduced, the arts have received more than $6.6 million dollars.  With the purchase of the State of Arts specialty plate in Broward, the funds are returned to the Broward Cultural Division.  More information about the plate and where to obtain one...
