In 1987 Aina Parmelee opened an art gallery, in Fort Lauderdale, with a specific philosophy. Parmelee wanted to bring a little of the excitement of New York`s SoHo district to South Florida. Parmelee liked the foot-traffic society of New York City, with intriguing art galleries packed together one after the other.
Aina Parmelee was an art teacher turned full-time graphic artist whose works are included in permanent collections across the country. Mrs. Parmelee, was a 30-year resident of Pompano Beach, before passing away.
