Mark Moormann is a director and director of photography with credits on documentaries, commercials, art installations and television shows. He is a graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee and has garnered numerous awards, grants and fellowships. His feature length documentaries include the Grammy nominated TOM DOWD & THE LANGUAGE OF MUSIC, BLINDSIDED (featured on HBO) and FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE, Audience Award winner at the SXSW Film Festival and showcased on PBS’ Independent Lens series in 2011.
Mark's films have screened theatrically, at major film festivals (Sundance, Toronto), museums (Experience Music Project, Coca-Cola, Skirball Cultural Center), airports (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International) and large-scale events (George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch for the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Show at Madison Square Garden).
Moormann is currently completing a documentary on legendary KuKluxKlan infiltrator and human rights pioneer Stetson Kennedy, slated to premiere in 2013.
