The museum is intended to increase the visitor’s  knowledge and understanding of local, state, national and world history and cultures through exhibitions, programs, and special events.
The Plantation Historical Museums’ new expansion increases the size of the Museum and showcases our new Dinosaur and Florida Ice Age exhibits. The Art Gallery and Native American display along with the City of Plantation’s history, memorabilia, and Fire Department room (with Plantation’s first fire engine) provide visitors with a wide range of history.  

Showing permanent displays and exhibits with artifacts and photographs of early Plantation and South Florida in general; Seminole and Tequesta display, Plantation's First Fire Engine and related memorabilia, Butterfly Garden; changing exhibits year round, including the annual Winter Wonderland from December through early January.
Free admission.
Organized group tours for schools, clubs & organizations by appointment on Tuesday and Thursday. The Museum is closed Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.
Hours open: Regular hours Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 10am to 12 noon and 1pm to 4:30pm; Friday 12 noon to 4:30pm. The Museum is closed the month of November and the last three weeks of January (January dates may vary) for exhibit changes.
