Momentum Dance Company is the oldest continuously operating modern dance company in Florida. The company is headed by Artistic Director, Founder, and award winning choreographer Delma Iles. Momentum gives over 60 performances annually including concert seasons, a children’s series, touring, site-specific performances, lectures, master classes and educational residencies. Momentum also produces the nationally recognized Miami Beach Dance Festival, currently in its sixth season. The multi-ethnic company is made up of eight dancers performing an exciting and diverse repertory of new works, classic modern dance, experimental work, children’s works and special projects. Momentum is currently featured on the Florida Department of State’s Florida Touring Program and is engage in a multi-year international cultural exchange project with Ballet Contemporaneo de Oaxaca, based in Oaxaca, Mexico. Momentum is available to perform in schools, libraries, art galleries, community centers, parks and a variety of other settings.
