Purpose:
The Talking Book service provides recorded and Braille reading materials, including books and magazines on tape, to individuals with visual or physical disabilities. The service is free, but an application is required. Special cassette players and headphones are also required, and are provided at no charge. Items are provided by the Library of Congress’ National Library Service, and are sent and returned via postage-free mailings.
