The Society was founded and incorporated in 1985 as a non-profit cultural arts organization focused on photography. It is dedicated to organizing, educating and inspiring amateur and professional photographers alike, and to being a cultural advocate promoting the art of photography in the community. The Society’s activities are geared to appeal to all types of photographers at all levels, from novices to professions in every field. Efforts are aimed at educating and entertaining members, and bringing the art of photography to the general community in as many ways as possible.

Photography salons, educational and entertaining mini-seminars, public exhibits of members’ works, sponsoring special public events and activities.
