The Broward Cultural Division is encouraging all artists and arts organizations to obtain your own free Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) number, to ensure that you, or your company, are accurately coded as an arts organization or artist.

Americans for the Arts has developed a new annual research initiative, Creative Industries, that uses D&B data to document the number of arts-related businesses and employees in any geographical region or political jurisdiction.  Creative Industries Reports statistically measures the scope and economic size of the arts in America.

If you do not have a D&B number you are not represented in the data and this analysis suggests a vast under-representation of non-profit arts organizations and artists.
