Tradewinds Park Stables & Farm Project: National Call to Artists
In partnership with the Parks and Recreation Division, the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team to design, fabricate and install site-specific artwork at Tradewinds Park Stables & Farm located in Coconut Creek, Fla. The function of the artwork will be to increase the Park’s visibility from either West Sample Road or the Florida Turnpike. It is envisioned that the artwork will become a landmark and welcome visitors to one of Broward County’s largest and most diverse parks.

Broward 100 - Inside Out - Call to Photographers
Broward Cultural Division is seeking professional photographers for Inside Out Broward. Inside Out is a global art project that gives communities all over the world a platform to express themselves through black and white photographs. Photographers will be selected for the project through a unique partnership among Broward Cultural Division, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Community Foundation of Broward, for Broward County's yearlong centennial celebration, Broward 100 - Celebrating the Art of Community.

I think it's in my head Catalog Launch - Girls' Club, Fort Lauderdale
Girls' club is pleased to announce the publication of I think it's in my head, a catalog to accompany the exhibition of contemporary art by women from the collection Francie Bishop Good & David Horvitz, currently on view. Designed by Hello Gusto, the 86-page catalog features an introduction from Girls' Club creative director Michelle Weinberg, an essay on feminism and science fiction by Claire Evans, a work of fiction by Vanessa Garcia and an interview with the curators Monica and Tasha Lopez de Victoria of TM Sisters. Printed and bound locally in a limited edition, catalogs are $30 and available for purchase online and at Girls' Club. A numbered, limited edition of books are available signed and adorned by TM Sisters.

Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) will be preparing cultural arts “goodie baskets.” If you are interested in offering something once a month that I can put into a nice gift container it would be randomly given out by BFA. These baskets will be distributed at various events such as breakfasts at the Museum of Art, during one of our Art in the Workplace classes, through BFA’s Facebook page and on the Cultural Tour. In addition, if you are presenting a show and the seats are not sold out, you might want to give “last minute” tickets out, or event passes, one free art class certificates, an art print, a music CD, VIP event passes, even a personal tour of your facility. BFA will be giving a certificate for one free Art in the Workplace class valued at up to $500 *valid to qualifying new businesses who have not participated in that program before* for example. If a business wins the basket they can “raffle it off” at their office if they choose.

Philadelphia International Airport Restroom Renovation - Philadelphia, PA
The City of Philadelphia’s Percent for Art Program and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) announce a competition to commission three site-specific artworks by three different artists or artist teams at PHL Terminals D, E, and F. The commissions will take place as part of PHL’s continued restroom renovation project, with each of the projects occupying a pre-designated wall space its respective concourse outside of the restrooms. Project budgets range from $25,000-$44,000 per project. This competition is open to artists and teams who reside in the United States.

Raleigh's Moore Square - Raleigh, NC
The City of Raleigh invites artists or artist teams experienced with the integration of art elements into a public space to submit qualifications to work as a public art consulting member of the project design team for the design and implementation of Moore Square, with the goal of establishing the park as a world-class urban space. The ability to collaborate and work well with a consultant through the design process is imperative to the success of the project. Moore Square is listed as a National Register Historic District and has been central to the African-American community since its establishment. The artist or artist team will receive $15,000 to collaborate with the project design team and develop conceptual and schematic designs, and related budget. The design fee is inclusive of all expenses including travel, hotel, transportation and mileage.

Public Art Project for Scales-Morehead Roundabout - Reidsville, NC
The City of Reidsville is accepting qualifications from artists for a public art opportunity at the roundabout/intersection of Morehead and Scales Street in downtown Reidsville. It is desired that the finished project integrate well with the entire downtown area, including common architectural concepts already found in the downtown area. The artwork should reflect the uniqueness of the City of Reidsville while welcoming visitors to the downtown business community. Ideas that incorporate movement, height and dramatic lighting at night are welcome. It is important that this gateway into the downtown area consider traffic safety and be relatively low maintenance. Budget: $60,000 – to cover all artist fees, design, fabrication and installation, including but not limited to travel, public meeting presentations, models, shipping, administration, taxes and insurance. This call is open to all qualified artists and artist teams.

Art Fallout 2014 - Girls' Club, Fort Lauderdale
Girls' Club is calling all artists to submit work for this year's Art Fallout: Unframed, a one-day, open call exhibition of work on paper with an interactive public feedback element. Artists of all levels may submit up to two works on paper, no larger than 24 inches. Works will be included in the one-day exhibit at Girls' Club as part of the community-wide event Art Fallout. In addition to the public, an informal panel of art professionals - gallery owners, art dealers, independent curators, museum professionals and arts writers - are invited to view and give public feedback with color-coded Post It notes.

Inside Out Theatre is looking for a visual artist and photographer to work together with The City of Hallandale Beach, and Memorial Health Care Systems on a project designed to help unify the City of Hallandale Beach. Funded by the Community Foundation of Broward, the project is designed to engage the residents of Hallandale Beach using art as a tool to dialogue around community issues and bring residents together to help solve the problem. ENDANGERED Art & Photography Contest - Miami
Global, juried Fine Art/Photography/Wearable Art contest to interpret “ENDANGERED” as it applies to animals, plants, the environment and ecosystems. We encourage creativity in interpretation and communication of the theme. The judging panel consists of acclaimed National Geographic photographer, Joel Sartore, Thom Collins, Director of the Pérez Art Museum Miami and Carolyn Benesh, Coeditor and Copublisher of Ornament Magazine. All proceeds, including entry donation of $25, will go directly to the Center for Great Apes, a sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees.
