Provides up to $2,000 to innovative visual and performing artists who have unanticipated, sudden opportunities to present their work to the public or who incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates.
Art of Community Grant Application
The Community Foundation of Broward will support projects that have a high level of artistic excellence and that effectively leverage and celebrate the assets of our Broward community to making a lasting imprint. Deadline: May 5, 2017.
PNC will award $555,000 over three years to arts organizations in Broward, Duval and Palm Beach counties. PNC Arts Alive programming demonstrates that there is an artistic outlet for everyone, regardless of age, economic background, skill level and taste. Pop-up performances, mobile arts vans and the use of unusual venues are among the many initiatives supported through PNC Arts Alive. Deadline: May 15, 2017.

Florida's Art in State Buildings Program - Cocoa
The Art Selection Committee for the Cocoa Operations Center would like to purchase or commission a sculpture. Electrical cable for lighting the artwork is already in place. Send images of existing sculptures available for purchase; prices must include delivery and installation. Or, for commissioned work, send images of previous work that might be similar. All sculptures must be of materialsthat will survive for years in Florida's heat and humidity. Deadline: June 2, 2017.
2018 Artist in Residence in the Everglades Application - Everglades
A prominent panel drawn from varying fields of expertise as professional artists, curators or educators in the designated disciplines, along with Everglades National Park personnel, will review materials submitted. Selections will be made on the basis of merit and how a candidate's work can advance the mission of Everglades National Park and the National Park Service while enhancing the growth of the artist's work. Knight Prototype Fund call on Accurate Information
Knight Foundation, Democracy Fund and Rita Allen Foundation today launched an open call for ideas that answer the question: How might we improve the flow of accurate information? We're offering a share of $1 million for early-stage ideas that address concerns about the spread of misinformation and build trust in journalism. Technologists, journalists, designers, teachers, researchers and others who have diverse perspectives on how to solve this challenge are welcome to apply. We expect to award funding up to $50,000 for each idea. Knight Foundation is running the call through the newly relaunched Knight Prototype Fund, which supports early-stage media and information ideas. Knight released a new report on Friday detailing lessons from the Prototype Fund, which is shifting from a general call for ideas to a themed approach.
