Local Grants

Creative Investment Program CIV | Broward Cultural Division
The Creative Investment Program is to assist individual Broward-based practicing professional artists with the creation of small, but complete, cultural projects for which applicants have not received grant monies through any other Broward Cultural Division incentive program. The individual artist project must occur in Broward County and must be an exhibition, live performance, lecture/demonstration or other arts activity that engages an audience. Cultural Investment Program (CINV) | Broward Cultural Division

The purpose of the Cultural Investment Program (CINV) is to assist eligible Broward-based, not-for-profit cultural organizations that have been operational in their cultural disciplines for a minimum of two years immediately preceding the date of application. Funding may be used for reimbursable program expenses associated with the presentation and/or production of a regular season of exhibitions, programs, events or performances open to the general public in Broward County. Application Submission Deadline for the CINV grant is February 1, 2018, for fiscal year 2019 funding. 2019 Grant Applications | Funding Arts Broward
Organizations headquartered in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County are eligible to apply for FAB! 2019 Grant Applications if the Applicant has at least one active voting Board Member who either lives or works full-time in Broward County. All funded programs must take place in Broward County. FAB! 2019 Grants will be awarded in amounts of no less than $5,000. The maximum grant award for organizations with budgets under $1 million will be $10,000, and $15,000 for organizations with budgets over $1 million. Deadline January 9. Details... ​

Foundation for Contemporary Art Emergency Grants
Created in 1993, the foundation's Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $2,000 to innovative visual and performing artists who have unanticipated, sudden opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding; or who incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Deadline: Open. Details...​​​​

Pegasus World Cup Inaugural Juried Art Exhibition | Gulfstream Park
The Pegasus World Cup Inaugural Juried Art Exhibition invites all South Florida-based artists to submit personal and unique works of arts for display at a major sporting event: the second annual Pegasus World Cup Invitational, hosted at Hallandale Beach’s Gulfstream Park on January 27, 2018. Aspiring artists may submit artistic interpretations of the mythological Pegasus, the sport of thoroughbred horse racing, or the spirit of the horse itself.  Work may be two- or three-dimensional and may be any medium – or media – best suiting the artist’s vision.  Each artist may submit up to four original images.  No single work should exceed 7 feet in height or 5 feet in width.  To apply, submit artwork in digital format to mailto:hello@socialgroupinc.com before December 20, 2017.

The Summer Arts & Science Camps for Kids (SAS-C) Grants Program | Miami-Dade County
Aiding underserved children in Miami-Dade County, the Summer Arts & Science Camps for Kids (SAS-C) Grants Program awards grant funding to non-profit organizations offering opportunities to attend high-quality cultural arts and science summer camp programs at little or no cost.  Augmenting established, high-quality programs, funding provided by the SAS-C Grant Program gives more children the opportunity to participate in cultural arts and science summer camps. A required SAS-C Pre-Grant Submission Workshop will be held at the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs on December 5, 2017, at 2:30 PM. ArtFest in the Pines | Pembroke Pines
Artists are invited to apply to the Twentieth Annual ARTFEST in the PINES presented by the City of Pembroke Pines and Artserve.  ARTFEST in the Pines takes place on March 10th and 11th 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, at the City of Pembroke Pines Charles F. Dodge City Center. Prize money in the amount of $4,500 will be awarded, $1,000 for Best in Show and $350 for Best in Category. December 30, 2017 is the deadline for early submission and discounted fees. The deadline for all applications is March 2, 2018.

City Vista Artist in Residence Program | Pompano Beach
The Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency has issued a call for artists of all disciplines to submit applications for the City Vista Artist in Residence (AiR) program. City Vista is a mixed-use apartment building located in the heart of the developing downtown district. Artists must meet income requirements to be eligible to rent the one-and two-bedroom apartments. Broward Art Guild Exhibits Open-Call Monthly Exhibits
The Broward Art Guild presents many visual art exhibitions throughout the year, hosted mostly at our gallery, and occasionally at various locations in Broward County. The majority of these are juried shows, which are judged by visual art professionals from various areas of the world of visual art. Participating artists do not have to be Guild members to enter work into our shows, unless specifically noted as a “Member’s Only” exhibit. Works entered must be presented in a professional manner. South Arts State Fellowships & Southern Prize
A state-specific $5,000 prize awarded to artists whose work reflects the best of the South’s visual arts, the South Arts State Fellowships are determined solely by artistic excellence.  Each of the nine fellowship winners – one per eligible state – will be selected by a review panel, awarded $5,000, and given a chance to compete for one of the two South Arts Prizes.  Each fellowship recipient must attend an awards ceremony.
After evaluating the artistic merits of the nine State Fellowship recipients’ works of art, a national panel will ultimately name one Southern Prize winner and one finalist.  The $10,000 awarded to the Southern Prize finalist will be topped only the Southern Prize winner – who will receive $25,000 and a two-week residency at the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences.
Both the winner and finalist of the South Arts Prize will be announced at the awards ceremony.  An exhibition of the nine State Fellowship winners may be organized during the award period. Details...
