Broward 100 - Inside Out - Call to Photographers
Broward Cultural Division is seeking professional photographers for Inside Out Broward. Inside Out is a global art project that gives communities all over the world a platform to express themselves through black and white photographs. Photographers will be selected for the project through a unique partnership among Broward Cultural Division, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Community Foundation of Broward, for Broward County's yearlong centennial celebration, Broward 100 - Celebrating the Art of Community.

Port Everglades Terminal Four Solar Lamp Post Art Project
In partnership with Port Everglades, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Broward Cultural Division's Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team to design, fabricate and install site-specific artwork for attachment to eight (8) solar-powered concrete street lamp posts located at the entrance and periphery of the parking lot adjacent to Cruise Terminal 4 (T-4) at Port Everglades. The selected artist or artist team’s unique approach to the project is welcomed and the desired effect is an aesthetic impact that reinforces the notion that Port Everglades is a world-class seaport.

I think it's in my head Catalog Launch - Girls' Club, Fort Lauderdale
Girls' club is pleased to announce the publication of I think it's in my head, a catalog to accompany the exhibition of contemporary art by women from the collection Francie Bishop Good & David Horvitz, currently on view. Designed by Hello Gusto, the 86-page catalog features an introduction from Girls' Club creative director Michelle Weinberg, an essay on feminism and science fiction by Claire Evans, a work of fiction by Vanessa Garcia and an interview with the curators Monica and Tasha Lopez de Victoria of TM Sisters. Printed and bound locally in a limited edition, catalogs are $30 and available for purchase online and at Girls' Club. A numbered, limited edition of books are available signed and adorned by TM Sisters.

Digital Innovation Fellowships - American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)
ACLS invites applications for the ACLS Digital Innovation Fellowships. This program supports digitally based research projects in all disciplines of the humanities and related social sciences. Each fellowship carries a stipend of up to $60,000 towards an academic year's leave and provides for project costs of up to $25,000. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree conferred prior to the application deadline. An established scholar who can demonstrate the equivalent of a Ph.D. in publications and professional experience may also qualify.

California Documentary Project Grants - Cal Humanities
Cal Humanities is a non-profit that promotes the humanities in California in order to help create "a state of open mind." The California Documentary Project (CDP) is a competitive grants program that supports documentary film, radio, and new media productions that enhance our understanding of California and its cultures, peoples, and histories. Projects must use the humanities to provide context, depth, and perspective and be suitable for California and national audiences through broadcast and/or distribution. The three CDP grant categories include research & development, production and public engagement. Grant awards range up to $10,000.

Volunteers needed for Art Fallout 2014 - Girls' Club - Fort Lauderdale
Each year starting in 2010, Girls' Club has organized the community-wide art event Art Fallout to highlight the growing presence and production of contemporary art in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Girls' Club connects with various art venues, artist studios, museums, galleries and alternative spaces to present a city-wide artwalk-style event. Volunteers are needed to spread awareness of the event, install and de-install artworks at different locations, document with photo and video, staff shuttle buses and help guide visitors to participating destinations.

Volunteer Services Coordinator - Broward Center for the Performing Arts
The Volunteer Services Coordinator supports the Volunteer and Intern Services Manager in the recruitment, supervision, and development of the volunteer corps to ensure optimal volunteer staffing in all areas of the Performing Arts Center Authority's (PACA) venues. Westside Pool Project - El Paso, TX
The City of El Paso’s Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) Public Art Program and Parks and Recreation Department seeks to commission a professional visual artist or artist team to design, fabricate, and install artwork for the Westside Pool Project. The City of El Paso requests qualifications from professional visual artists, or artist team, who live in the United States. The total budget available for this project is $150,000. Design features of the building facility will also be compatible with the existing Leo Cancellare Pool. The Public Art Program is looking for an artist capable of collaborating with the Architectural design team to envision and create a large scaled artwork that integrates with the building’s architecture, reflects the active nature of the building and values of the community that uses it. Opportunities for the artwork may take the space of the window mullions, floors, or walls (interior/exterior), or other locations coordinated that are to be with the architectural design team. The artwork materials should be compatible to stand the test of time in the humid atmosphere of the interior of an aquatic center. Some materials to consider may be glass, tile, metal, terrazzo, or the like.

Art Fallout 2014 - Girls' Club, Fort Lauderdale
Girls' Club is calling all artists to submit work for this year's Art Fallout: Unframed, a one-day, open call exhibition of work on paper with an interactive public feedback element. Artists of all levels may submit up to two works on paper, no larger than 24 inches. Works will be included in the one-day exhibit at Girls' Club as part of the community-wide event Art Fallout. In addition to the public, an informal panel of art professionals - gallery owners, art dealers, independent curators, museum professionals and arts writers - are invited to view and give public feedback with color-coded Post It notes.

Visual Artist & Photographer - "Art of Community" Project, Inside Out Theatre
Inside Out Theatre is looking for a visual artist and photographer to work together with The City of Hallandale Beach, and Memorial Health Care Systems on a project designed to help unify the City of Hallandale Beach. Funded by the Community Foundation of Broward, the project is designed to engage the residents of Hallandale Beach using art as a tool to dialogue around community issues and bring residents together to help solve the problem. The art will be community driven but the artists are a key component of the process and will be expected to attend meetings to discuss issues and ideas. These are paid positions.

Goodyear City Hall Public Art Project - Goodyear, Arizona
The City of Goodyear is seeking to hire an artist or artist team to create a memorable and significant main entrance at the exterior of Goodyear City Hall located at 190 S. Litchfield Rd. Goodyear, AZ 85338. The proposed project will include identification (signage) for City Hall, artwork that defines the location, and create a “sense of arrival”. The public art will create an environment of distinction, enjoyment and pride for all citizens. The selected Artists will coordinate with City representatives and community stakeholders to create an inclusive plan for the designated area.
ENDANGERED Art & Photography Contest - Miami
Global, juried Fine Art/Photography/Wearable Art contest to interpret “ENDANGERED” as it applies to animals, plants, the environment and ecosystems. We encourage creativity in interpretation and communication of the theme. The judging panel consists of acclaimed National Geographic photographer, Joel Sartore, Thom Collins, Director of the Pérez Art Museum Miami and Carolyn Benesh, Coeditor and Copublisher of Ornament Magazine. All proceeds, including entry donation of $25, will go directly to the Center for Great Apes, a sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees. Prizewinners plus an invited selection of other entries of significant merit will be exhibited in the Wynwood district of Miami, December 4 - 6, 2014, during Art Basel week.

Artist in Residence - Studio 18 in the Pines, Pembroke Pines
Artists interested in applying need to be professional practicing visual artists and interested in collective art practice. Those qualified should submit applications digitally (PDF; JPG or as otherwise indicated below) to Sharon Sammarco and include: a letter of interest with a statement of purpose describing what the artist hopes to individually accomplish during the residency and their interest in working on a group project, resume (with complete contact information), three letters of recommendation, representative examples of work in digital form: 5-10 images of work, JPGs, 72 dpi, with a maximum size of 1000 pixels on either side. Include corresponding image list with title, date, media and dimensions. The selection criteria will focus on individual artistic excellence and what the candidate will artistically contribute to STUDIO 18 IN THE PINES.

Sun Mall World Competition - Mexico
This is an opportunity for sculpture artists, sponsored by the Sun Mall Museum of Art, Mexico's leading shopping mall corporation, looking to create new platforms for the emerging artist’s professional exposure.
50 selected artists will be showcased in The Sun Mall World Competition’s website and at the Sun Mall Museum of Art in an exclusively curated exhibition. The sculptures will be judged by prominent curators and art experts and the winner will be announced at the private view of the exhibition in March 13, 2015.
The jury's criteria will be based upon the innovation in the use of bronze, steel, cooper, glass and marble as well as the originality, creative energy and aesthetic sensitivity demonstrated in the entries.

This event benefits CDTC's Comprehensive Family AIDS Program which supports children and families infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. 5th Annual Paint the Beach Festival - Fort Myers Beach Art Association
Artists are encouraged to apply to Paint the Beach - A Plein Air Festival in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, a non-juried painting competition and show. This festival is intended to bring the excitement and beauty of the plein air painting tradition to Ft. Myers Beach Florida. This non-juried event will run from November 3 until November 9. Artists may paint within specified areas from November 4-6. Possible scenes include beach views, historic buildings, beach businesses and marine subjects. There are over $2500 in cash awards to the Plein Air painters as well as various named and merit awards.

51st Annual Fine Arts Festival - Old Florida Celebration of the Arts - Cedar Key, FL
Established in 1964 and formerly known as the Cedar Key Sidewalk Arts Festival, this event was revived in 2005 - returning to a juried fine arts show. Since then the event's reputation has grown and the festival has become one of the most charming shows in Florida. 120 artists will be invited through the jury process.
