Community Project Grants Applications Invited - Florida Humanities Council
Mini-grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded for single events, lectures or panel discussions, reading and discussion groups, film series, and/or online resources such as interpretive brochures, reading lists, audio/video recordings of scholarly presentations, and classroom resources. Deadline: August 28, 2017.

Creative Investment Program (CIP)

Bailey Contemporary Arts is looking for teaching artists to fill arts workshop slots. Workshops can be for adults, teens or children. Mayor's Art Challenge

Broward residents in grades 9-12 who attend public, private or home school are eligible to submit work for the Mayor’s Art Challenge. Monday, September 8th is the deadline for students to submit their application which can be found on the Cultural Division’s calls-for-artists page. Students will need to submit their application with digital images of the artwork (up to two entries), a parental release form and indicate their County Commission District via the Submittable.  Details...

Utility Box Wraps | Oakland Park FL
The City of Oakland is looking for artists to create designs to be digitized and printed on vinyl wraps for approximately 54 utility boxes located throughout Oakland Park. The ongoing project enhances the public realm by adding local artists’ work to surfaces that had often been targeted by vandalism. The City is requesting original designs of local fauna for the 2nd installation series. The artwork must be a realistic depiction of Florida native fauna. The design must be colorful, cover the proposed area (not a lot of white space) and able to be distinguished from a distance. The design must be able to be scaled to different size boxes. Traffic Signal Box Wraps Round 2​  |  City of Pompano Beach

The City of Pompano Beach will wrap digital versions of artworks on traffic signal boxes located throughout the City. The goal of the program is to add an attractive and creative touch along our corridors by transforming a traffic signal box into a piece of art. This is the second round to a project started in 2015. This beautification effort will enhance the experience of all those visiting the corridors and will help to prevent vandalizing of boxes. Site visits are encouraged but not required. Artists Alley Mural
The City of Pompano Beach will commission an emerging artist for the design and installation of a mural that will be located on an exterior wall behind the Bailey Contemporary Arts Building located at 41 NE 1st St., Pompano Beach, Florida. The mural should focus on the idea of playing with perspective. The City plans on continuing to expand the area into a mural alley entitled Artists Alley. Deadline September 29. Details...​ 

Chalk Lit
Broward County Main Library invites you to take part in Ft. Lauderdale's  inaugural chalk art festival. This free family friendly event will feature live 2D and 3D chalk artists creating large scale murals in the north plaza of the Main Library. the theme for the event is 'Literature'. Holiday Magic Festival of Trees | Bonnet House Museum and Gardens
A team of designers decorating Bonnet House trees and wreaths December 5-7 that will be on sale throughout the week. ​COCA in Tallahassee, FL is now accepting proposals from individual artists and small groups for exhibitions at the downtown City Hall Art Gallery and the Artport Gallery at the Tallahassee International Airport. CERF+ Announces New Artists "Get Ready" Grants
Deadline: August 15, 2017. CERF+ announces new Artists "Get Ready" Grants to help artists working in craft disciplines safeguard their studios and protect their careers. Up to 10 grants will be awarded on a competitive basis in two grant cycles to eligible artists towards the purchase of goods or services that will have a direct impact on increasing their emergency readiness. Artists are encouraged to use CERF+'s Risk Assessment to generate ideas and review recommended activities in the Get Ready and Studio Safety sections of the www.cerfplus.org.
