The Funding Arts Broward (FAB!) 2016 Grant

Applications will be online as of Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 at www.fundingartsbroward.org/grants. The deadline for the 2016 Grant Application is Tuesday January 13th, 2015 at 5:00 pm. There will be a WORKSHOP on November 13th, 2014 at 10:15 AM at the Broward County Library in order to help potential applicants with any issues they are having with the Submittable program. Cultural Diversity Program (CDP)

Eligible not-for-profit organizations, whose primary mission is cultural, and develops and sustains the cultures, arts, and artists that are rooted in, and reflective of, the cultural heritage and traditions of the community; and whose principal office address, as recorded in the Secretary of State's Office, is in Broward County. Cultural Tourism Program (CTP)

To use the arts as a means of promoting tourism in Broward County. Municipalities, agencies or political subdivisions of state government and sovereign Native American Nations located in Broward County, or not-for-profit organizations that meet general eligibility requirements for funding from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, or a consortium of organizations or entities with each individual member of which meets the eligibility requirements, may apply for funding. Executive Director - Coral Springs Museum of Art

Full-time, exempt at $56,000 - $84,000 per year. “Soul Basel Overtown: A Celebration of Art, Music and Culture in Colored Town"

The Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida is calling visual artists in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties to submit artwork to interpret A Man Among the Peoples, that will coincide with an exhibition on the life, art and legacy of late Overtown artist, Purvis Young. Selected artwork will be displayed in the lobby of The Historic Lyric Theater from December 3-7, 2014. Deadline to apply is November 17. Entries will be accepted via email. Applications Invited for National Dance Project Touring Awards

A program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, National Dance Project Touring Awards support national tours of new dance works, with up to $35,000 in funding for each artist and company. Awards are distributed as NDP Presentation Grants to United States nonprofits presenting the works and are intended to support artist fees and travel. Surdna Foundation Accepting Proposals for Artist-Led Social Change Projects

Grants of up to $150,000 over two years will be awarded in support of compelling artists projects developed in response to specific challenges in their communities, as well as projects by artists whose work over the long term has increased social engagement without necessarily being explicitly defined as "activist." Carnegie Center for Art & History's New Albany Public Art Project: Today & Tomorrow Series

The theme for 2015 is sustainability. Three artists will be selected and paid an honorarium of $5,000.00 to create an artwork about this theme that will be on view in New Albany for two years.
Artists’ proposals are due on January 5th and the artworks will need to be installed by May 11, 2015. Please consider applying and/or sharing this information with others who may be interested.

Murphy Park Building Art in Sunnyvale, CA

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking an artist to design a two dimensional work of art for the Murphy Park Building in Sunnyvale. The artwork is required under the City's Art in Public Places program. The commission is open to established and emerging artists in Northern California. The project budget is $12,000. Semi-finalists from the RFQ process will receive a $250 stipend to develop a final design proposal. The full RFQ can be found at Arts.inSunnyvale.com.

RFP call for the Development of a Downtown Artscape Vision Plan for Greensboro NC SmART Initiative

Artists and designers of various disciplines and media are being solicited to submit qualifications for review. Previous experience integrating art in urban streetscape design, including wayfinding systems, landscaping, and site furnishings is required. Experience in community collaboration is also required. Applicants must be age 18 or older, and are eligible regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, military status, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical disability. 2015-17 GALLERY WITHOUT WALLS - Sculpture Exhibit in LAKE OSWEGO, OR

The Arts Council of Lake Oswego invites sculptors to submit qualifications and proposals for Lake Oswego’s award winning outdoor Gallery Without Walls sculpture exhibit. The works selected for this public art exhibit will be on loan to the city of Lake Oswego for a period of two years and must be available for sale during that time. Artfields 2015 - Lake City, SC

Artfields is a community-focused celebration of art awarding $100,000 in prizes to artists from across the Southeast. Initially founded in 2013, Artfields transforms the historic district of Lake City, South Carolina into a Southern art mecca for nine days allowing visitors, residents, and artists to experience a massive arts festival in the heart of one of South Carolina's most charming small towns.

Public Art - Police Headquarters Building, City of Oklahoma City

The exterior public artwork sought through this announcement is envisioned in two ways. The first is a sculptural work to be incorporated into the landscape or hardscape design of the north facing plaza for the new headquarters building.  The second opportunity is for one or more works that could be placed in the landscaped zones along Shartel Avenue and/or Main Street to create a more urban feel to the site and a more walkable pedestrian environment. Public Art - Central Instruction Building, Utah State University Eastern

The design of this new building makes symbolic reference to the natural setting, to the cultural and economic history of the region, and to the continuing commitment of the College to serve the people in the region. Ideally, this public art commission will harmonize with and reinforce these key symbolic messages.

Walk of Fame and History: Wolfpack Art Project - Reynolds Coliseum, NC State University

NC State University is seeking proposals from artists/teams to create a themed Wolfpack art installation for the in Reynolds Coliseum.  Reynolds Coliseum is one of nine university-designated Hallowed Spaces on campus.  It is located in the Central Campus precinct, and was built over sixty years ago with art deco influences on the exterior façade and interior finishes.  The Walk of Fame and History will present NC State’s rich history and accomplishments of the university’s 23 varsity and heritage sports.  As part of this recognition, NC State University is commissioning an art installation of the Wolfpack, integrated into the stairway between the ground and mezzanine level.

Tuscany LRT Station Community Cultural Development Public Art Project - Calgary, Canada

The City of Calgary (The City) Public Art Program and The Transportation Department are seeking a professional Artist with established Community Cultural Development (CCD) public art experience for a CCD Public Art Project at the new Tuscany Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station. Tuscany LRT Station is a new station located in the northwest quadrant of the City of Calgary. Deadline for submission is Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 4 p.m. MST.
