Regional Investment (RINV) and Cultural Institution Program (CINP) | Broward Cultural Division
Grant application workshop for the Regional Investment Program (RINV) and Cultural Institution Program (CINP) on Tuesday, September 26, at 2 PM in the Main Library, Bienes Ceremonial Room, 6th floor, 100 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. The workshop is designed for ongoing applicants and prospective applicants to the two programs. Foundation for Contemporary Art Emergency Grants
Created in 1993, the foundation's Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $2,000 to innovative visual and performing artists who have unanticipated, sudden opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding; or who incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Deadline: Open. Details...

Utility Box Wraps | Oakland Park 
The City of Oakland is looking for artists to create designs to be digitized and printed on vinyl wraps for approximately 54 utility boxes located throughout Oakland Park. The ongoing project enhances the public realm by adding local artists’ work to surfaces that had often been targeted by vandalism. The City is requesting original designs of local fauna for the 2nd installation series. The artwork must be a realistic depiction of Florida native fauna. The design must be colorful, cover the proposed area (not a lot of white space) and able to be distinguished from a distance. Traffic Signal Box Wraps Round 2​  |  City of Pompano Beach
The City of Pompano Beach will wrap digital versions of artworks on traffic signal boxes located throughout the City. The goal of the program is to add an attractive and creative touch along our corridors by transforming a traffic signal box into a piece of art. This is the second round to a project started in 2015. This beautification effort will enhance the experience of all those visiting the corridors and will help to prevent vandalizing of boxes. Site visits are encouraged but not required. Mayor's Art Challenge | Broward County
Broward residents in grades 9-12 who attend public, private or home school are eligible to submit work for the Mayor’s Art Challenge. The event is a county-wide art competition that gives students the opportunity to showcase their talent for the benefit of a local charitable organization. Winning artworks will be recognized by the Mayor for artistic excellence and auctioned at the Mayor’s Gala. Mayor Barbara Sharief and PNC Bank will be awarding honorariums to multiple student winners. A total of $7,000 will be distributed to multiple winners.​ Deadline: Sept. 8. More info and APPLY.
 
Call to Artists | Port Everglades
In partnership with Port Everglades, Broward County, Florida, Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team (Artist) to design fabricate and install artwork at the new Port Everglades Palm Garage located at the intersection of Eisenhower Boulevard and SW 20th Street, Fort Lauderdale. Boca Raton Fine Arts Show | Boca Raton

The 9th Annual Boca Raton Fine Art Show™ opens on January 27 & 28, 2018 in Downtown Boca Raton, FL at Sanborn Square Park. $1,500 in Professional Artists Awards plus the Budding Artist Competition for grades 6-12 or ages 9-19; a program which encourages students to create their original and personally handmade art; $250 in cash prizes. Deadline September 13.  Details...​​


Open Canvas Project | Fort Lauderdale
ArtServe seeks submissions from South Florida artists for mural concept art suitable for outdoor installation. Selected artists will be assigned a portion of the mural project to complete, and compensation will be determined commensurate with the mural size and specifications. Artwork will be reviewed by a panel of jurors. Selected artists will prepare and install their mural with some assistance from local volunteers on October 28 for Open Canvas Day, which will be part of Fort Lauderdale Cares Day. Deadline: Sept. 23

Artists Alley Mural | City of Pompano Beach
The City of Pompano Beach will commission an emerging artist for the design and installation of a mural that will be located on an exterior wall behind the Bailey Contemporary Arts Building located at 41 NE 1st St., Pompano Beach, Florida. Chalk Lit Festival | Broward Main Library and Broward Cultural Division
Apply to be a chalk artist in Fort Lauderdale's inaugural chalk art festival, which will take place Jan. 13, 2018. This free, family-friendly event will feature live 2D and 3D chalk artists creating large scale murals in the north plaza of the Main Library. Sixth Annual Island City Juried Art Exhibition | Art Gallery 21, Wilton Manors
All Broward County artists are invited to participate in the Sixth Annual Island City Juried Art Exhibition. Entry fee is $20 per entry, with a maximum of two entries per artist. ​Art Intake will take place from 12 Noon to 3 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017. City Vista Artist in Residence Program | Pompano Beach
​The Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency has issued a call for artists of all disciplines to submit applications for the City Vista Artist in Residence (AiR) program. City Vista is a mixed-use apartment building located in the heart of the developing downtown district. Artists must meet income requirements to be eligible to rent the one-and two-bedroom apartments. Holiday Magic Festival of Trees | Bonnet House Museum and Gardens
A team of designers decorating Bonnet House trees and wreaths December 5-7 that will be on sale throughout the week. On December 8th, festivities begin with a party on the veranda (Designers receive 1 complimentary pass - $50 a ticket for designer/decorators guests).
