Call for Nominations - Leadership Awards
The Florida Alliance for Arts Education welcomes nominations for the 2017 FAAE Leadership Awards. Leadership in the areas of education, administration, and community are recognized. The 2017 recipients will be recognized in an awards ceremony held during the FAAE Summit at The Shores Resort and Spa June 22–24 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The 2016 #AfricanWardrobeFestival
Submissions are open to all artwork and paintings that are African-inspired. Deadline to submit artwork is Saturday October 15, 2016. Please e-mail your favorite African-inspired artwork to: Limit four (4) pieces per artist.

Puffin Foundation West seeks to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artist-activists and arts organizations often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to race, gender, or social philosophy. Deadline: December 16, 2016.

Anthony Quinn Foundation Accepting Applications for Arts Scholarship Program
Through the program, the foundation supports high school students’ extracurricular study of the visual arts and design, performing arts, media arts, and/or literary arts. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500. Deadline: January 4, 2017.

Graham Foundation Accepting Nominations for Carter Manny Awards
The foundation offers Carter Manny awards in two categories — a research award for a student at the research stage of the doctoral dissertation, and a writing award for a student at the writing stage of the doctoral dissertation. Ph.D. students officially enrolled in a school in the U.S. and Canada are eligible to apply. Students must be nominated by their department to apply for the award. Deadline: November 15, 2016.

The Adolph & Esther Gottlieb Foundation aims to encourage artists who have dedicated their lives to developing their art, regardless of their level of commercial success. To that end, the foundation’s Individual Support Grants program was conceived in order to recognize and support the serious, fully-committed artist. Deadline: December 15, 2016.

William H. Johnson Foundation Invites Applications from African-American Artists for 2016 Johnson Prize
The Johnson Prize is awarded annually to an early-career African-American artist working in the area of painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, installation, or a new genre. Deadline: November 10, 2016.

Foundation for Contemporary Art Accepting Applications for Emergency Grants
Created in 1993, the foundation’s Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $2,000 to innovative visual and performing artists who have unanticipated, sudden opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding; or who incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Deadline: Open.
