  • When the buses are not in service, they are parked at the maintenance garage, where they are cleaned, refueled and checked for safety before the next day.
  • Free Internet access, called “Wi-Fi” is on the Breeze bus routes, and at the Main Terminal.

Have a Safe Trip

Broward County Transit provides a safe and comfortable ride. You should plan ahead for your trip and follow these basic bus-riding tips. Click here to watch the Safety Tips video.

Tip 1

Decide which bus route travels to and from your start and end points. Read the route schedule for details. Schedules show time points and locations. Use the route map to find where you want to go.

Tip 2

Arrive at the bus stop about five minutes before the bus is scheduled to come. When your bus is coming wave at the bus operator. Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop. NEVER run after the bus. Always stand at the bus stop on the sidewalk or in the bus shelter. NEVER stand in the street.

Tip 3

Have exact fare ready. Fare boxes do not make change.

Tip 4

Quickly move to an empty seat. If there are no empty seats, stand behind the YELLOW LINE at the front of the bus.

Tip 5

Give the seats behind the bus operator to disabled passengers or seniors.

Tip 6

Do not talk to the bus operator while the bus is moving.

Tip 7

Speak quietly when using cell phones. Eating, drinking, smoking and rude behavior is not allowed on the bus.

Tip 8

When it is time to exit the bus, ring the bell once and exit from the back door. Let the bus depart and look both ways before crossing the street.
