What is the age for a youth bus pass?
The youth fare is for children 18 years or younger. Children under 40 inches ride FREE.
Can I purchase a bus pass at the customer service window at the terminals using a personal check, credit card or debit card?
No. BCT can only accept cash as payment to purchase a bus pass at our bus terminals.
Are the regular and reduced fare 31-Day, the 7-Day and 10-Ride bus passes acceptable as fare payment to ride the Express bus service?
Yes. After swiping the regular and/or reduced fare bus pass and adding the $1 upgrade in the fare box for each one-way trip, passengers can ride the express bus service.
How do I get the Reduced Fare Photo Identification Card? What do I need to bring with me?
Photo sessions for the I.D. card are held at the Broward Central Terminal, Broward Boulevard and N.W. 1st Avenue, downtown Fort Lauderdale. Photos are taken and cards issued Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (closed for lunch 12:30 pm-1:30 pm).
Proof of eligibility is required, so you must bring the following:
- Seniors - proof of age 65 years and older
- Disabled - proof of disability (letter from doctor stating 50 percent or more permanent disability)
- Medicare - Medicare card, Social Security Income (SSI) printout or check, AND photo identification card
Where is the Central Bus Terminal located?
101 Northwest 1st Avenue, on the northwest corner of Broward Boulevard and Northwest 1st Avenue, in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Where is the West Regional Bus Terminal located?
100 North Pine Island Road, located north of Broward Boulevard and adjacent to the Broward County West Regional Courthouse, in Plantation.
Where is the Northeast Transit Center located?
304 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., at Dixie Highway, in Pompano Beach.
Which bus travels to the Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL) Airport? Which terminals do they go to?
Route 1 travels to FLL and stops on the upper level at the Rental Car Center, bus-way area. Look for the Broward County Transit signs.
Is there a bus or shuttle that travels to Port Everglades?
There is no BCT bus or shuttle that travels directly to Port Everglades. You can travel on Route 1, and get off at State Road 84 and Federal Highway, and take a cab to your Port Everglades destination, or you can travel on Route 40, get off at 17th Street Causeway and Eisenhower Boulevard, and take a cab to your Port Everglades destination.
Is there a bus that travels from the Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL) Airport to the Miami Airport?
There is no bus that travels directly from one airport to the other. You can take the SFRTA/Tri-Rail shuttle bus from FLL directly to the SFRTA/Tri-Rail Station. Take SFRTA/Tri-Rail directly to the Miami Airport and a shuttle bus will take you to your terminal.
Is there a bus that travels from the Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL) Airport to the Port of Miami?
There is no bus that travels directly from FLL to the Port of Miami. You can take Route 1 to Aventura Mall and make a connection to Miami-Dade Transit Route 3, to the Port of Miami.

How do I qualify for "door to door" Paratransit (TOPS)?
Paratransit (TOPS) is for persons with a physical, cognitive, emotional, visual or other disability which functionally prevents them from using a BCT fixed route. To qualify, each applicant must go through an eligibility determination process. For application and information, call 954-357-8400.

Can I bring my dog on Broward County Transit?
The only animals that are permitted on Broward County Transit are service animals that assist people with disabilities. Pets are not permitted to ride Broward County Transit. However, small caged animals can be transported on Broward County Transit as long as there is no possibility that the pet can get free.
What service is available if I ride Broward County Transit to work and need an emergency ride home?
Transit passengers who commute to work at least three days a week can register for a 'free' taxi ride through South Florida Commuter Services Emergency Ride Home Program, at www.1800234RIDE.com or 1-800-234-RIDE.
