- Tell the transit advisor:
- Where you are (city, major intersection or address)
- Where you would like to go (your destination)
- What days of the week you want to travel
- What time of day you will be traveling
The Emergency Ride Home (ERH) Program, offered by the Florida Department of Transportation, provides free taxi service up to six times per year to registered commuters in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties in the event of an unexpected emergency. This “commuter insurance” is offered 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The program is available to commuters who carpool, vanpool, take transit, bike or walk to work at least three days a week. Commuters can register online or by phone.
