Service Changes and Detours

Memorial Day Service Hours
Effective Monday, May 29, 2017

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017, Broward County Transit will operate a Sunday schedule. Customer service representatives will be available to provide trip-planning assistance from 8:30AM to 4:45PM, while Paratransit representatives will be available from 9:30AM to 4PM at 954-357-8400 (TTY 954-357-8302). The Broward Main Terminal in downtown Fort Lauderdale and the Northeast Transit Center in Pompano Beach will have customer service staff available from 9AM to 4PM.


Rider Alert: Routes 11 and 40, Fort Lauderdale
Effective Saturday, May 27, 2017, from 5AM to Midnight
Great American Beach Party

Northbound A1A in Fort Lauderdale is scheduled to be closed between Las Olas Boulevard and Castillo Street for the Great American Beach Party.

This will effect and detour BCT Routes 11 and 40

The following detours will be in effect during this time frame:

Route-11 EASTBOUND:
Buses will travel east on Las Olas Boulevard to Las Olas Circle; south on Las Olas Circle then north on Las Olas Circle to North Birch Road; north on North Birch Road to Bayshore Drive; east on Bayshore Drive to A1A; north on A1A and over the regular route.

Route-11 WESTBOUND:
Buses will not be effected and will travel their regular route.

Route-40 EASTBOUND:
Buses will travel north on A1A to Las Olas Boulevard; west on Las Olas Boulevard to South Birch Road; north on South Birch Road to North Birch Road; north on North Birch Road to Bayshore Drive; east on Bayshore Drive to A1A; north on A1A and over the regular route.

Route-40 WESTBOUND:
Buses will not be effected and will travel their regular route.


Rider Alert: Routes 30 and 40, Fort Lauderdale
Effective Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 8PM until Friday, May 26 at 6AM
Andrews Avenue Drawbridge

Broward County Bridge and Highway Maintenance Division will be performing maintenance on the Andrews Avenue Drawbridge. The drawbridge will be closed to all traffic from 8PM on Thursday, May 25th, until 6AM on Friday, May 26th.

This will effect and detour BCT Routes 30 and 40.

Route-30 EASTBOUND:
Buses traveling northbound on Andrews Avenue will turn east on SE 7th Street to SE 3rd Avenue; north on SE 3rd Avenue to Las Olas Boulevard; west on Las Olas Boulevard to Andrews Avenue; north on Andrews Avenue and over the regular route.

Route-30 WESTBOUND:
Buses will travel the reverse route.

Route-40 WESTBOUND:
Buses traveling northbound on Andrews Avenue will turn east on SE 7th Street to SE 3rd Avenue; north on SE 3rd Avenue to Las Olas Boulevard; west on Las Olas Boulevard to Andrews Avenue; north on Andrews Avenue and over the regular route.

Route-30 EASTBOUND:
Buses will travel the reverse route.


Rider Alert: Route 83, Margate
Construction at Bus Stop at Copans Road and US 441
Effective Tuesday, May 23, 2017 for Approximately Three Weeks

Due to construction at the bus stop at Copans Road and US 441, eastbound Route 83 buses can not service this stop, #4676. The nearest eastbound serviced stop is located on Royal Palm Boulevard, just west of East River Drive.





Service Changes Effective Sunday, April 23, 2017
Routes 2, 5, 6, 11, 18, 19, 30, 102, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110 and 114; Change of Bus Stop Location at Pembroke Lakes Mall for Routes 5, 7, 16, 23 and Community Bus Routes Miramar Red and Pembroke Pines Gold, Blue East and Blue West Routes.

All Express routes will have travel time adjustments to address traffic congestion. Times listed on schedules are approximate and are based on traffic and weather conditions.

Attention Express Customers
Effective Monday, February 13, 2017 until further notice
SW 1st Street before S. Miami Avenue
SE 2nd Street and SE 1st Avenue

Due to safety concerns, Express buses will no longer be able to stop at SW 1st Street before S. Miami Avenue. Passengers can either board at the downtown Miami Bus Terminal a block away, or can exit at the next stop located on SE 1st Street and SE 1st Avenue.

Please, also be aware that there is no bus stop at SE 2nd Street and SE 1st Avenue. This stop was removed due to traffic concerns in the area.

Downtown Miami Express routes continue to experience delays due to unexpected construction in Miami Dade.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and expect improvements as construction is completed.

Rider Alert: Routes 109 & 110 Afternoon Service
Effective Monday, January 16, 2017 until further notice

Due to ongoing construction, Route 109 and 110 northbound buses will travel westbound on NW 3rd Street, then turn right and travel northbound on NW 2nd Avenue. There will be temporary stops at NW 5th Street and NW 8th Street on NW 2nd Avenue. Bus stops on NW 8th Street and NW 1st Court and one at NW 1st Avenue & NW 5th Street will not be serviced.
