Service Changes and Detours

Rider Alert: Route 72, Oakland Park
Effective From 7AM on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 until 6PM on Thursday, April 6th, 2017
FEC Railroad Crossing at Oakland Park Boulevard

Due to construction at the railroad crossing on Oakland Park Boulevard, Route 72 will detour.

Route 72 will detour as follows:

Eastbound:
Buses will travel east on Oakland Park Boulevard to Dixie Highway; south on Dixie Highway to NE 26th Street; east on NE 26th Street to NE 16th Avenue; north on NE 16th Avenue to Oakland Park Boulevard and over the
regular route.

Westbound:
Buses will travel the reverse route.

Route 72The following bus stops will not be serviced:

Eastbound:
Stop #2130 - Oakland Park Boulevard at NE 13th Avenue
Stop #2131 - Oakland Park Boulevard at NE 15th Avenue

Westbound:
Stop #5235 - Oakland Park Boulevard at NE 12th Terrace
Stop #4270 - Oakland Park Boulevard at NE 15th Avenue


Rider Alert: Express Routes 107, 109, 110, Miami
Effective Friday, March 24th, 2017
Ultra Music Festival

Due to the Ultra Music Festival in downtown Miami, there will be heavy traffic traveling through the streets of Miami that will cause major delays. Therefore the 95 Express Hollywood (Route 107), 95 Express Pembroke Pines/Miramar (Route 109), and 595 Express BB&T Center to Miami/Brickell (Route 110) routes will be detoured.

The detours are as follows:

95 Express Hollywood (Route 107), after the Government Center stop
Buses will travel west on NW 1st Street to NW 3rd Avenue; north on NW 3rd Avenue to NW 8th Street; west on NW 8th Street (which turns into NW 10th Avenue) to NW 14th Street; west on NW 14th Street to NW 12th Avenue and over the regular route.

95 Express Pembroke Pines/Miramar (Route 109) and 595 Express BB&T Center to Miami/Brickell (Route 110)
Buses will travel north on Brickell Avenue to SW 7th Street; west on SW 7th Street to SW 2nd Avenue; north on SW 2nd Avenue to NW 5th Street; east on NW 5th Street to NW 1st Avenue; south on NW 1st Avenue (due to construction north bound NW 1st Avenue is closed at NW 5th Street) to NW 3rd Street; west on NW 3rd Street to NW 2nd Avenue; north on NW 2nd Avenue to NW 8th Street; west on NW 8th Street and over the regular route.

Passengers coming to the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Metromover Station will meet the bus at the southbound bus stop on NW 1st Avenue, on the south side of NW 5th Street.

These detours are subject to change, without notice, due to traffic control by Miami police.


Rider Alert: Routes 2, 34, 42, 62, 83, Coral Springs
Effective Saturday, March 25th, 2017, 6 - 10AM
Coral Springs Half Marathon and Race for Women’s Wellness 5k

The Coral Springs Half Marathon and Race for Women’s Wellness 5K will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 2017. The half marathon will begin at 6AM and the 5K at 7:30AM

Participants will start at the Coral Springs Tennis Center on Sportsplex Drive. Sportsplex Drive will be closed to through traffic until 10AM.

The event includes parts of Royal Palm Boulevard, University Drive, Riverside Drive, Atlantic Boulevard, Lakeview Drive and Coral Ridge Drive.

Routes may be temporarily delayed or detoured by the Coral Springs Police Department.


Maintenance at the Downtown Broward Central Terminal
Beginning Monday, March 6, 2017

Beginning Monday, March 6, 2017, select bus bays will be periodically closed for maintenance at the downtown Broward Central Terminal. Scheduled bus bay assignments will be transferred to other available bus bays. This will remain in place for an estimated 4-6 weeks. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Attention Express Customers
Effective Monday, February 13th, 2017 until further notice
SW 1st Street before S. Miami Avenue
SE 2nd Street and SE 1st Avenue

Due to safety concerns, Express buses will no longer be able to stop at SW 1st Street before S. Miami Avenue. Passengers can either board at the downtown Miami Bus Terminal a block away, or can exit at the next stop located on SE 1st Street and SE 1st Avenue.

Please, also be aware that there is no bus stop at SE 2nd Street and SE 1st Avenue. This stop was removed due to traffic concerns in the area.

Downtown Miami Express routes continue to experience delays due to unexpected construction in Miami Dade.

Rider Alert: Routes 109 & 110 Afternoon Service
Effective Monday, January 16, 2017 until further notice

Due to ongoing construction, Route 109 and 110 northbound buses will travel westbound on NW 3 St. then turn right and travel northbound on NW 2 Avenue There will be temporary stops at NW 5 St. and NW 8 St on NW 2 Avenue Bus stops on NW 8th St and NW 1st Ct and one at NW 1 Avenue & NW 5 St. will not be serviced.




 


Service Changes Effective Sunday, January 15th, 2017
Routes 5, 28, 55, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110 and 114

All Express routes will have additional running time and recovery time to address traffic congestion. Times listed on schedules are approximate and are based on traffic and weather conditions. Some reverse commute trips will be discontinued due to the new schedules.

Attention 595 Express Customers
Effective Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 until further notice

Recent construction of the northbound express lanes have created serious safety issues for buses exiting I-95 to service the Griffin Road Tri-Rail Station.

Effective immediately, all buses will continue north to the SR 84 Rd/Marina Mile westbound exit, make a U-turn back to I-95 southbound and continue back to the Griffin Road exit.
