•One person switching a 20-mile roundtrip commute to public transit can reduce daily carbon emissions by 20 pounds or more than 4,800 pounds in a year.*

Economy:
•Riding BCT can lower household expenses and save you an average of $9,781 annually.** The small change adds up!
•Riding BCT provides an affordable alternative to driving, as it saves on gas, costly car repairs and maintenance, insurance and other car related expenses. We offer low-cost fares and bus pass options.

Livability
•Public transportation reduces traffic congestion.
•Walking or biking to catch the bus to work is a great way to get daily activity.
• Public transportation activity plays a role in lessening an individual's risk in five of the ten leading causes of reduced lifespan as identified by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Broward B-Cycle is a bike-sharing system that allows people to check out a bicycle at a public bike station and is the latest way of reducing traffic congestion, pollution and carbon emissions in Broward County.
