Community Development & CRA: Building Communities through Strategic Partnerships   The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta are sponsoring a workshop that seeks to facilitate local investment by bringing together funders and community-based organizations to share practical ways to establish CRA-related partnerships and discuss how they have achieved successful partnerships. Community-based organizations will receive information on the Community Reinvestment Act and practical suggestions for developing partnerships with banks. The agenda will include an economic and community update; separate breakout sessions on CRA for Bank Leaders and CRA for community and economic development stakeholders. The agenda will also include panel discussions surrounding Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs); and a panel discussion about best practices in establishing partnerships with banks. The event is free; breakfast and lunch will be provided.
