  Freddie Mac online workshops whether you are considering homeownership for the first time or currently own a home and need information on how to avoid foreclosure, this flexible, interactive course will teach you how to achieve your financial and homeownership goals. 


Foreclosure Prevention and Advocacy Project

Legal Aid offers free legal advice & counsel and/or representation to income-eligible clients, as deemed appropriate, in the areas of: foreclosure defense, mortgage modification, pre-foreclosure issues, tax liens.  


Homebuyer, Financial Fitness and Foreclosure Prevention Workshops
Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida, a *HUD approved counseling agency teaches classes in Broward County on how to avoid foreclosure, purchase a first home and become financially fit.  They provide ongoing workshops in both English and Spanish.


Lessons for Homeowners from Green Affordable Housing
Beverly Craig discusses lessons learned from six years improving the water and energy performance of multifamily affordable housing with Homeowner's Rehab, a nonprofit that owns over 1,000 units of affordable housing in Cambridge, Massachusetts.


Military Housing Podcasts

Housing Counselors Training and Testing for Certification
Specifically designed for *HUD-approved housing counseling agencies, offering free on-line training covering a broad range of topics including responsibilities of homeownership and tenancy; avoiding foreclosure and eviction; financial management; and fair housing. The training is designed to help prepare housing counselors for the upcoming, mandatory HUD-certified counselor examination.


How to Improve Client Outcomes Using Housing First
Discussion on how Housing First practices can improve client outcomes in a transitional housing setting and help our Nation’s Veterans and others who experience homelessness move more quickly into permanent housing.  Presented by **USICH and the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.


National Servicing Center (NSC) Training
The EClass System provides additional training on ***FHA's Loss Mitigation Programs, including FHA's Home Affordable Modification Program (FHA-HAMP), as well as continuing education on issues that have generated the most industry questions and requests for further training.

OneCPD Resource Exchange Course Catalog
OneCPD represents a fundamental change in the way the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) structures and delivers technical assistance for its community development programs Use the HUD Exchange Learn Learning Management System to:  register for HUD training, access online training, view your training transcript, get credit for training.


Smokefree Policies in Multi-Unit Housing
The American Lung Association worked with experts around the United States to develop this online curriculum on how to implement a smokefree policy in multi-unit housing properties like apartments and condominiums.


Strategies for Integrating Education and Housing Services
*HUD, **USICH and the Departments of Education (ED) discuss how *HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) providers and educators, school social workers, and school homeless liaisons can build relationships and link educational support services and homeless services for youth and families experiencing homelessness.

The Supportive Housing Training Center offers practical, interactive training solutions that empower people from all backgrounds to practice and master the skills necessary to make a difference and improve the lives of the most vulnerable people.


Transportation Mobility Systems: An Alternative to Concurrency in Florida
