Affordable Housing

 


The Housing Finance and Community Development Division works in conjunction with the Cities, the State of Florida and the Federal government to facilitate the development and the financing of affordable housing in Broward County. Federal and State funding support the following programs: Single Family Housing Rehabilitation, Residential Redevelopment, Beautification and Minor Home Repair, Water/Sewer Connection and Counseling and Education Services, Down Payment/Closing Costs Assistance, New Construction of single family and multifamily homes, Special Needs/Barrier Free Architectural design, and Foreclosure Prevention.

Broward County Assistance Programs and Social Services have compiled a list of agencies, services and programs to help meet the needs of Broward County residents.  

Fair Housing Protection  Discrimination based on your race, color, national origin, religion, sex, family status, or disability is against the law. 

Housing Data Sources  Demographics provide critical statistical data for use in urban planning, drafting reports and furnishing insight into what is needed for the future of affordable housing. 

Registered Lenders  The consortium of lenders who are able to underwrite to established guidelines for the First Time Home Buyer and Single Family Bond programs.
