New Mobile Shower Unit Available for Broward’s Homeless
New 30-foot long air conditioned / heated mobile trailers will soon offer showers to homeless men and women, thanks to the efforts of HOPE South Florida. These showers are intended to build self-esteem and be a benefit to our community. Ongoing operational needs include small toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and shaving kits, as well as gently used clothing for men and women. Broward Housing Summit Coming March 29th
The Coordinating Council of Broward in partnership with the
Broward Housing Council will host a Broward Housing Summit
, 8AM – 4PM
Wednesday, March 29th
at the Rick Case Arena at Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College
Avenue in Davie. The goal of the summit is to engage the community in dialogue
about the county’s affordable and workforce housing crisis, the need for a
dedicated funding source, ideas for moving forward and more.
