MARCH

City of Coconut Creek will hold a public hearing on March 25, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) *FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Community Development Plan, *FY 2015 Action Plan. 

City of Miramar will hold a public hearing on March 24, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) *FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan, 2015 Action Plan & Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing.

Housing Finance Authority of Broward County will hold a public hearing on March 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of receiving comments and hearing discussion concerning a plan of financing Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bonds and/or Single Family Mortgage Revenue Refunding Bonds.

APRIL

City of Coral Springs Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) Proposed Consolidated Plan 2015-2019 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing on April 13, 2015 at 6PM. 

City of Miramar proposed amendment to prior Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program years public comment period open through April 14, 2015 and a public hearing will be held on April 15, 2015. 

City of Coconut Creek amendment to FY 2014 Action Plan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program comment period is open through April 22, 2015 and a public meeting to discuss the amendment will be held on April 23, 2015 at 7PM. 

MAY

Broward County Housing Authority (BCHA) will open a waiting list for Park Ridge Court Apartments from May 7th through May 11th.  

City of Sunrise has their proposed 2015-19 consolidated plan and annual action plan and they are accepting written comments by noon on May 22, 2015 and the adoption hearing will be held on May 26, 2015.  

City of Dania Beach Housing Authority is seeking input from the city residents in reference to the Five Year Agency Plan and Annual Plan Submission on May 27, 2015 at 4PM. For further information, please call Anne Castro, Executive Director at (954) 920-9662.

JUNE

City of Coral Springs is accepting a maximum of 30 income eligible applicants for the purchase of 3 NSP3 properties.  Applications will be available for download or pickup on Monday June 1 thru Tuesday June 30, 2015 at 5PM. 

City of Miramar drafted their 2015-19 Consolidated Plan and 2015 Annual Action Plan and are accepting public comments until June 2, 2015 and will hold a pubic hearing on June 17, 2015 at 7PM.

City of Pembroke Pines Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) has four properties available to income qualified households through a lottery process. Applications accepted June 7 through June 23, 2015. Open house is June 26, 2015 and lottery will be held June 30, 2015.  

Town of Davie proposed amendments to the Consolidated Plan for Federal Funds 2012-2017. Public comment period is June 7 through July 6, 2015 and a public hearing will be held on July 29, 2015. 

 

City of Coral Springs will hold a public hearing of the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan on June 15, 2015 at 7PM. 

JULY

The Housing Finance Authority of Broward County (HFA) in partnership with Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development (HFCDD) is financing the construction of eighteen new homes in the unincorporated neighborhood of Franklin Park Estates. Applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, July 1, 2015, through Friday, July 31, 2015, between the hours of 8:30AM to 5PM. Applications will not be accepted before July 1, 2015.

Town of Davie proposed amendments to the Consolidated Plan for Federal Funds 2012-2017. Public comment period is open through July 6, 2015 and a public hearing will be held on July 29, 2015. 

City of Wilton Manors is accepting public comments about their Consolidation and Actions Plans until July 8, 2015 and a public hearing will be held on

Notice of Public Hearing: The City of Tamarac will hold a public hearing on January 8, 2014, 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers, 7525 NW 88th Avenue, Tamarac. The hearing will discuss and reallocate unobligated funds in relation to Fiscal Year 2013/2014 Annual Action Plan 1st Amendment Reallocation of Funds.
 
Request for Public Comments: Broward County Board of County Commissioners seeks public comments regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan substantial amendments. Comments may be submitted to Housing Finance and Community Development Division at 110 NE 3 Street, Fort Lauderdale, by January 13, 2014.


FEBRUARY

Notice of Committee Vacancies:  City of Coral Springs is currently seeking applications to fill upcoming vacancies in the Community Redevelopment Agency.  Access application on their website www.coralsprings.org/Committees/Vacancies.cfm and appointments are scheduled to take place February 5, 2014. 

​Notice to Public and Interested Lenders:  Broward County Housing Finance Authority is announcing the Single Family Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program.  The program will reduce home loan financing costs, via a tax credit, for first-time homebuyers and borrowers of qualified home improvement loans and qualified rehabilitation loans within Broward County. 

​Notice of Public Hearing:  A public hearing by the Housing Finance Authority of Broward County, to be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the offices of the Authority, 110 N.E. 3rd Street, Suite 201, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, commencing at 5:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, for the purpose of receiving comments and hearing discussion concerning a plan of financing subject to the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, pursuant to which the Authority will issue its Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bonds and/or Single Family Mortgage Revenue Refunding Bonds. 

​Notice of Funding Availability:  Multi-Family Rental Housing Revenue Bond Financing applications are being accepted until 5:00 p.m. on February 21, 2014. 

Notice of Lottery Timeline:  City of Deerfield Beach has purchased and rehabilitated several properties with Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds and has announced their lottery timeline.  Applications must choose a lender and gain pre-approval now through March 25, 2014, the Open Houses will be held on March 26, 2014 (appointment is mandatory), and the Lottery will be held on April 2, 2014. 

​Notice of Funding Availability:  The City of Lauderhill has been awarded State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds to provide affordable housing assistance to low, very low, and moderate households in the City of Lauderhill.  Appointments to obtain applications may be made after March 4, 2014 by contacting the City of Lauderhill.

​Request for Public Comments:  City of Coconut Creek has developed a Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) that outlines potential programs to be undertaken with State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funding to assist very low to moderate income households.  Public hearing will be held March 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., copies of the plan are available at Department of Sustainable Development, Coconut Creek Government Center, 4800 West Copans Road. 

​Pre-Development Public Hearing:  City of Coconut Creek is developing and adopting a One-Year Action Plan that is consistent with the current Five-Year Consolidated Plan.  Prior to drafting the Plan the public is invited to a hearing to discuss the best use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds on March 18, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, Commission Chambers, 4800 W Copans Road.

APRIL

​Request for Public Comments and Public Hearing:  City of Miramar is proposing amendments to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.  Citizens are encouraged to review and provide comments on the proposed amendment.  Copies are available now through April 8, 2014 and can be obtained at the Office of the City Clerk located at Miramar City Hall, 2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar.  A public hearing will then take place on April 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall.

​Notice of Substantial Change:  City of Sunrise is accepting public comments about their Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP3) by May 13, 2014.  A public hearing will be held on May 13, 2014, at 5 p.m.

​Notice of FY2014/15 AAP:  City of Miramar is accepting public comments about their Fiscal Year (FY) 2014/2015 Annual Action Plan (AAP) until May 27, 2014 and there will be a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on June 18, 2014.

​​Notice of Proposed CDBG Program Amendment:  City of Fort Lauderdale is considering amending its 2012-2013 and the 2013-2014 Annual Action Plans of the 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan.  Public comments accepted through September 29, 2014.
 


October, November, December - Ongoing Notices

​Funding Opportunity: Broward County Housing Finance Authority is announcing the Single Family Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program. ​Funding Availability: Broward County 2014/2015 Florida Housing Finance Corporation State Apartment Incentive Loan Program Local Government Contribution Application.

​Homes for Sale: City of Margate has three homes for sale for applicants in the very low-income category.

Funding Opportunity: City of Coral Springs has funds available to assist three low-income applicants for its Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (NSP3) through the Community Development Block Grant.

​Funds Available: City of Lauderhill has funds available for Minor Home Repair/Weatherization Program for very low income to low income applicants.

​Accepting Applications: The Housing Authority of City of Fort Lauderdale is opening the waiting list for Sailboat Bend, an elderly designated project based development. Head of household must be very low income (by HUD standards -see link at bottom of this notice) and 62 years or older and there is a maximum of two occupants. Applications will be accepted online only starting on October 13 and ending when 300 names are received.



December Notices
