RAD Conversion Approved for Palms of Deerfield Beach Town Homes
Housing Authority of Deerfield Beach

The Housing Authority of Deerfield Beach has been approved to participate in the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The RAD program will allow for the conversion of the Palms of Deerfield Beach Town Homes into a Housing Choice Voucher program under Section 8. The Palms will undergo the conversion and improvements on 96 of its units. The Housing Authority of Deerfield Beach, along with Broward County Housing Authority and Tarpon Springs Housing Authority are the only three recipients in the State of Florida to gain RAD approval. The goal of the Housing Choice Voucher program is to
assist low-income families to obtain healthy and safe residences at reasonable rental rates. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development created RAD to help preserve affordable housing and provide conversions and rental supplements, components that sustain long-term solutions. Visit Deerfield Beach Housing Authority's
website for more information.
