Collaboration of Local Agencies Provide a Family in Need With a Home

Joy Stewart had been battling homelessness with her four grandchildren over the past nine years, but things changed dramatically when the Broward Sheriff’s office, Rebuilding Together of Broward, TV show “Designing
Spaces,” and the community worked together to provide the family with a home. An acquaintance had donated
their foreclosed house to Stewart, but it was an unhealthy living environment. Upon learning this, Rebuilding
Together of Broward and “Designing Spaces” completely renovated the dilapidated home, giving the family the
