$35 Million for Down Payment Assistance (DPA) from Attorney General Settlement
Florida Housing Coalition's Member Update

Florida Housing Coalition (FHC) is encouraging the supporters of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership program (SHIP) to reach out to their legislators in their home offices and inform them about the facts regarding the Attorney General’s settlement funds (resources and information are available at www.sadowskicoalition.com.)  The $35 million in funds is slated for the Down Payment Assistance Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bond program (SFMRB) and not the SHIP program.  The SHIP program funds apply towards a much broader spectrum of housing assistance including foreclosure prevention, emergency repairs and much more.  FHC is requesting that the balance of settlement funds be applied to the 2013 SHIP program.  More...
