Supporting Broward County's Returning Veterans With A $2 Million Dollar Grant

Mission United logoMission United, a cooperative program that re-acclimates veterans into civilian life, has just received its largest grant to date. The Department of Veteran Affairs through the Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) Program has awarded Mission United $2 million dollars which will be used to provide supportive services to veterans throughout Broward County. Florida has the third largest veteran population in the country and more than one million veterans are due to return to Florida in the next few years. The grant money, distributed through several supportive organizations, will provide veterans with such necessities as food, health care and housing assistance. More…
