Florida Residents Endure the Lack Affordable Housing

The availability of affordable workforce housing is seriously lacking around the nation and especially deficient in Southwest Florida.  It is anticipated that between the rise in housing costs and continual low wages  our workforce, including teachers and police, will not be able to live and work in the same area as they work which causes a myriad of economic problems.  Research shows that the average yearly wage of Florida renters is $10,000 less than what a family needs to maintain their housing costs.  More…
