Today marks the last day of Fair Housing month, but it is an important cause to keep in focus throughout the year. Every day Americans face housing discrimination in many forms: race, age, physical handicaps, sexual orientation, presence of children, religion and marital status. Even in progressive cities and communities people face discrimination. Educating and sharing information with both landlords and current/future tenants about the Fair Housing Act will aid in combating future unlawful and unfair practices. The short film, "A Matter of Place," highlights three New Yorker's personal stories of their experiences in dealing with housing discrimination and how the Fair Housing Act& affected their outcomes. Watch and share the video.
