The Obama Administration’s U.S. housing market findings for December 2013 were released by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.  Highlights include a decline of 5.7 million underwater homeowners since the beginning of 2012, approximately 1.3 million homeowners saved $24.2 billion on mortgage payments through the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), and 123,000 borrowers have been aided by the Second Lien Modification Program (2MP).  More...
