The Urban Land Institute, as part of the Housing Assistance Matters Initiative, created an interactive map that provides affordable housing data for the counties throughout the U.S.   Click on a county and the map will provide the number of available affordable rental units for extremely low income (ELI) renters.  In Florida, there are 54,736 ELI rental households, yet for every 100 ELI rental households there are only 14 available affordable rental units which leaves a gap of 46,936 available units (ELI in Florida equates a family of four earning less than $21,500).    More…
