New Marine Environmental Education Center to Open at Carpenter House
The much-anticipated opening of the Marine Environmental Education Center will take place from 9AM to noon on Friday, March 3rd, at historic Carpenter House at Hollywood North Beach Park, 4414 Surf Road in Hollywood. The purpose of the Center is to provide outstanding marine education, interactive learning, and research with a focus on endangered sea turtles. Following the opening, regular hours are Tuesday-Saturday, from 10AM-5PM with specialized programs daily at 10:30AM and 3:30PM.
Bring your family and dog to Markham Park on Saturday, March 4th, from 9AM-3PM and enjoy demos by search and rescue and police canine units, dog and kid games, food trucks, and vendors in celebration of our canine friends. Broward County Animal Care and Adoption’s rabies clinic will be at Easterlin Park in Oakland Park on Saturday, March 4th from 9AM-2PM.
