Welcome from Commissioner Mark Bogen Representing Cooper City, Davie, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Southwest Ranches, Sunrise, Weston

I believe that good government really is “for the people” and my record illustrates my commitment to consumer rights, a better quality of life and increased opportunity for economic success.

I’ve successfully pushed forward consumer protection laws and crafted a complex ordinance to govern transportation network companies such as Uber, who introduced new technologies for transportation to better serve Broward residents and created new jobs.

I co-sponsored a Living Wage increase and the so-called “Ban the Box” ordinance that changed the job application process in Broward County government. These new laws will help people find work in county government and help employees better support themselves and their families.

As we gear up for an election year, I’m most proud that all Broward County voters who request an absentee ballot will no longer have to pay return postage in order to cast their vote. I asked the Supervisor of Elections office to provide convenient postage paid return ballots if Commissioners provided the necessary funds to do so. It’s a precedent setting change for our County and a real help to those who mail in a ballot.

I’m constantly fighting on behalf of the residents in District 2 which includes the cities of Coconut Creek, Margate and portions of Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach and Coral Springs.

If you have any questions about Broward County government or need assistance with county services, please give me a call. I work for you and promise to bring the very best to Broward County!

Sincerely,

Mark Bogen
Broward County Commissioner-District 2
