Broward County Celebrates Innovation Week​

Please join us at Government Center West on April 19th, from 10am – 3:30pm as we recognize and celebrate Innovation in Broward County. We will have lobby displays and hands-on demonstrations throughout the day including the NEW Citizen Data Portal as well as an afternoon drone demo.​

The Broward County Innovation Unit, established in 2020, has been supporting County agencies by identifying, analyzing and implementing innovative business intelligence and technology solutions. Broward County Citizen Data Portal is Now Live!

The Broward County Citizen Data Portal is a single point of access for anyone seeking to learn more about their community and government through the use of various data-visualization tools. This centralized data intelligence platform houses a wealth of information on a variety of topics ranging from public services and climate data to finances, health, and education. The Citizen Portal is designed to promote transparency, accountability, and civic engagement. By making data readily available to the public, the Portal informs and empowers citizens, enabling them to make informed decisions about their community.​

Try out the portal by entering the Broward County Citizen Data Portal and clicking on a category “button" to access a variety of interactive dashboards, maps, or data sets related to that main subject area.​​

Announcing: 2024 Vehicle For Hire Lottery!

The Broward County Consumer Protection Division has authorized one (1) new wheelchair accessible taxi and ninety (90) luxury sedan Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity (“CPCN”) to be awarded by a lottery drawing.  Tickets may be purchased, in person, from March 11th through April 12th from 8 AM until 2 PM at Government Center West, 1 North University Drive, Plantation, Florida 33324 with the drawing being held at 9 AM on May 2nd.  The lottery application fee is $400 and may be paid in cash, credit card, or business/company check (personal checks will not be accepted).  For additional information, go to​ the Lottery Notice​ and/or Lottery Application.​​


  • Please be advised that Auto Repair/Auto Body Shop​ and Techni​cian Applications and Vehicle For Hire Applications are now by appointment or drop off ONLY. Applications without an appointment will no longer be seen or serviced the same day. Please schedule an appointment by using the QLESS scheduling link. Payments for drop off applications can be via check or money order.​​​​​​​
  • You asked, we listened! Check the status of your permit​/l​icense application on ePermits OneStop. Just log in to your account thru ePermits, go to My Applications, then License Status.​​​​
  • Certificate of Insurance: Effective September 1, 2022, all Certificates of Insur​ance will have to ​be submitted to our office by the insurance producer.  The Division will no longer be accepting copies that are submitted by an applicant.  Please have your insurance provider email the Certificates of Insurance to​ CPInsurance@broward.org and place the name of the insured in the Subject line of the email.​
