Hayride and Campfire Series at County Parks

Broward County Parks and Recreation continues its popular Family Hayride and Campfire series. There are two events scheduled for December: on December 12th at Quiet Waters Park, (7 to 9:30PM) and on December 19th at T.Y. (Topeekeegee Yugneee) Park (6 to 9PM). Tickets are $3.50 per person which includes one hayride and one bag of fixings to make s'mores around the campfire. Preregistration nad prepayment are required at T.Y. More...

Celebrate the Grand Reopening of Main Library

Broward County Libraries Division invites you to the grand reopening and relaunch of the Broward County Main Library on Saturday, December 13th from 9:30AM to 6PM. The free celebration will include entertainment and activities for all ages, and children can meet their favorite storybook characters. Honor Broward County pioneers on Saturday, December 6th at the Hallandale Beach Cultural Community Center, 410 SE Third Street, Hallandale Beach. The Pioneer Day program event starts at 1PM. Holocaust Exhibit Opens at Main Library Through December 29

 “The Courage to Remember,” a historical exhibit of the Holocaust will be featured on the sixth floor of the Main Library, 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. The historical exhibit of the Holocaust (1933-1945), is being presented by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, SNCF -Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF) - The French National Railway Corporation and the Foundation For California; co-sponsored by Broward County Libraries and the Office of Broward County Commissioner Dale V.C. Shutterbug Photo Hunts Resume at Fern Forest Nature Center

Animal Care and Adoption Announces 2014 Rabies Clinic Calendar

Broward County Animal Care and Adoption reminds all pet owners that rabies vaccinations and pet registration tags are required by law. In 2014, residents can bring their pets to one of a number of Rabies Clinics in a variety of locations throughout the County. When a target goal of 100,000 pet registration tags is reached, 100 percent of the pet registration funds will go directly to support low-to-no cost sterilization programs. More...
