Take the Kids Camping

When school lets out for winter break this season, consider a mini-vacation at the Rent-a-Tent/Tepee campgrounds at Quiet Waters Park, or tent camping at the campgrounds at Easterlin Park. Both parks will offer a School’s Out – Camp Out! Special from Sunday through Thursday, December 21st through 25th, and again from December 28th through January 1st. More... 

Light Up Your Holiday at Tradewinds Park

Treat the entire family to the 20th year of this holiday light show spectacular! The Holiday Fantasy of Lights drive-thru is open nightly, including holidays from 6-10PM through January 3, 2015. Enjoy over three miles of holiday lights and displays. Tradewinds Park is located at 3600 W. Hayride and Campfire Series at County Parks

Broward County Parks and Recreation continues its popular Family Hayride and Campfire series on December 19th at T.Y. (Topeekeegee Yugneee) Park (6 to 9PM). Tickets are $3.50 per person which includes one hayride and one bag of fixings to make s'mores around the campfire. Preregistration nad prepayment are required at T.Y. More... 

Holocaust Exhibit Opens at Main Library Through December 29

 “The Courage to Remember,” a historical exhibit of the Holocaust will be featured on the sixth floor of the Main Library, 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. The historical exhibit of the Holocaust (1933-1945), is being presented by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, SNCF -Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF) - The French National Railway Corporation and the Foundation For California; co-sponsored by Broward County Libraries and the Office of Broward County Commissioner Dale V.C. Holness. The exhibit which runs through December 29, 2014, features more than 200 exclusive photographs that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. More...
