Eye of the Hurricane at MODS

Residents are invited to a day of free fun at Eye of the Storm: Hurricane Science Mitigation and Preparedness on Saturday, June 4th from 10AM – 5PM at the Museum of Discovery & Science (MODS) in Fort Lauderdale. June is Black Music Month and the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale will celebrate Prince as well as other beloved black musicians who are no longer with us. Life of the World War II Soldier

Historian Robert Feeney will present a multimedia presentation featuring a historical interpreter dressed in World War II-period uniform who will discuss what was carried into battle by U.S. army soldiers.
