Seventh Annual Senior Red & White Ball

This popular event takes place on Friday, February 3rd at the Urban League of Broward County. The evening, which runs from 6-9PM, includes dinner, entertainment, and other social activities. The event is designed for ages 50 and up, and attendees are encouraged to wear red and/or white attire. Admission is free, although space is limited and participants must have a ticket to get in. Lunch and Learn Nature Series for Adults

Don’t miss Edible and Medicinal Plants in South Florida, presented by Dr. Bradley Bennett of Florida International University’s Department of Biological Sciences. The program will take place on Friday, February 10th, from noon to 2PM at the Anne Kolb Nature Center in Hollywood. A $10 donation to the Friends of Anne Kolb volunteer group covers the lecture and lunch. Registration is required at least a week in advance by calling the park at 954-357-5161.
 

It’s Jousting Time at Quiet Waters Park

The Renaissance Festival, now in its 25th year, has returned to Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, from 10AM to sunset on weekends from February 11th through March 26th, plus President’s Day, Monday, February 20th. Public Art Walking Tour

Don’t miss the Fresh Cup of Art tour! This is your opportunity to explore 10 public art pieces commissioned primarily in the 1980s at the Main Library. The free Public Art & Design program will take place on Thursday, February 16th at noon. Meet at the library’s main check-out desk on the 2nd floor. Explore the Great Outdoors – Natural Area Night Hikes
