Human Trafficking Photo Exhibit Comes to Main Library

Professional photographer, victims advocate, retired police officer and educator Susan Buzzi exhibits her photographs Responsibility and Vigilance September 5th – 26th at the Main Library Gallery Six, 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. The visual essay examines domestic servitude, forced labor and human trafficking in the community. The exhibit is being shown in cooperation with Broward County’s Nancy J. Help Beautify Franklin Park & Roosevelt Gardens

Volunteer to help beautify the Broward Municipal Services District by participating in a community cleanup. Everyone’s welcome to lend a helping hand and students who take part can receive community service hours. Bags and gloves for picking up litter and trash, as well as free refreshments will be provided for all volunteers. The next cleanup is at Franklin Park, Saturday, September 9th from 8am-noon, 2501 Franklin Drive, Fort Lauderdale. Human Trafficking Documentary - I Am Jane Doe Coming to NSU

The Nancy J. Cotterman Center invites you to a public screening of the documentary, I Am Jane Doe, on Saturday, September 23rd at 2PM at the Nova Southeastern University – Miniaci Center for the Performing Arts in Davie. The documentary chronicles the battles that American mothers are waging on behalf of their middle-school daughters, victims of sex-trafficking on, the adult classifieds site that for years was part of the Village Voice.
