Fitness Program for Older Adults  Free classes presented by the YMCA. For older adults interested in increasing heart health, muscle strength, flexibility, and balance. Classes taught by certified instructors and are appropriate for the very frail to fit.

Share Sistrunk: The Megaphone The Megaphone is a shipping container re-purposed to work as an amplifier for the voice of the Sistrunk community. Come out with your lawn chair, bring your family, and enjoy a day full of art events, cultural exchange, and share with us your story. We will have an open mic, vendors, music, dance, poetry slam, food demonstration, storytelling, and more.

African Fashion Event First annual African Wardrobe Festival to promote African attire, its mission is to unite African-Americans with their African Diaspora roots. This event will feature a red carpet welcome, African art expo, documentary screenings, panel discussions and networking mixers. The festival will close with a fashion show and a networking mixer. Move Broward  The Urban Health Partnership will kick-off the Community Action Plan in the Sistrunk Community. This event will be a transportation fair to engage residents on how to get involved in local transportation planning, how to inform officials about gaps/issues/challenges in our network, and what partners are doing to promote active transportation. The City of Fort Lauderdale will host a booth to educate on Connecting the Blocks Plan, Vision Zero, Lauderserv application to report issues, Next Door for information about transportation happenings/information, Open Streets and Bike Ride events.
