 Welcome to District 8

Hello and welcome,

It is an honor to represent the residents of District 8 which includes Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Hallandale Beach, Pembroke Park and West Park. The cities, communities, and neighborhoods that are within our district are diverse; each has unique characteristics and needs. I have personally walked the district and have met with numerous residents, civic and community leaders. I have gathered and continue to gather as much information as possible to assess how Broward County can best serve the people of District 8.

As your County Commissioner, you have my promise that I will do my best for you. I will defend and fight for good governance, transparency in government and most of all dependability. I’m going to make sure that District 8 moves forward in a progressive manner. My focus will continue to be on job creation, economic development, tourism and neighborhood revitalization.

It is important that there are always open lines of communication between you and me. My competent and accomplished staff is here to provide you with quality service. I’d also like to hear your ideas and concerns. You can call my office at 954-357-7008 or send an e-mail to bsharief@broward.org. It is a privilege to serve you!

Sincerely,
Barbara Sharief
Broward County Commissioner
