The Broward County Commission on the Status of Women will celebrate National Women's History Month in March by honoring 9 Broward County women who exemplify this year's national observance, "Nevertheless She Persisted: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women." The honorees include: Kamala Anandam, Elyse Claprood, Sonya Crudup, Jacqueline Powell, Sonya Artis Richards, Sasha Shulman, Liza Smoker, Yanina Szumiel, and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. These remarkable women are featured in an exhibit
in the lobby of the Governmental Center, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale and on Broward.org/StatusWomen
