Baked on the Outside-Still Cookin’ on the Inside
There’s been a magnificent addition to the Broward County skyline -- the beautiful new County courthouse tower. It is twenty stories tall, smartly designed, has sparkling windows, is energy efficient and sustainable, but it’s not quite done. To date, new courthouse construction is almost 70 percent complete. But while the outside of the building is nearly finished, much work remains on the inside. Every day construction crews are busy at work tackling floor by floor in a race upwards. Electrical, mechanical and plumbing work are ongoing and finishing touches and attention to fine detail are happening throughout as workers now focus on building offices and courtrooms in the new building. Watch for the latest courthouse updates as construction moves steadily toward completion in 2015. Follow the new courthouse progress at or visit
