The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD), along with the City of Fort Lauderdale, hosted the 2017 Broward and Beyond Business Conference on Friday, May 5th at the Signature Grand in Davie, FL. The second annual countywide conference provided a three-pronged targeted approach inclusive of continued collaboration with County agencies and community partners. Featured educational content was categorized into three tracks:
- Start Up: 6 sessions
- Growth: 4 sessions
- Nonprofit: 4 sessions
The event was attended by start up, nonprofit and established businesses in all phases of the business cycle representing various industries. The conference created a space for attendees to learn from industry experts, connect and share ideas, and learn new strategies to face everyday challenges with innovative solutions. The event supports the Broward County Board of County Commissioners’ vision of “a vibrant economy with a diverse, skilled workforce, in a County offering unique advantages that attract all types of businesses to create equitable, countywide prosperity” and value of “ensuring economic opportunities for all people and businesses in Broward”.
