 Public Information Request


Public Information concerning Broward County's environmental regulatory activities is available on-line, in person, and by mail. Conducting your own search on-line is easy and the information can be obtained readily. Several helpful sites are listed below: 

ENVIROS is Broward County's environmental on-line search engine that searches records within the POSSE Licensing, Inspection and regulatory enforcement database. (POSSE contains information from 2001 forward.)

Environmental liens are recorded as public documents with the Broward County Records Division. County record searches can be conducted on-line at

Pursuant to the Public Records Law, files are also available for review either at our offices or by mail.  Please be advised that there may be fees associated with clerical research time or photocopying.

Files are available for review during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.  It is recommended that you call ahead so that staff has ample time to assemble the records you are requesting and that you allow yourself adequate time to conduct your review. If you are not sure who to contact, call (954) 519-1210 for assistance.

A request can be made by sending a fax to 954-519-1493 or by sending a letter via U.S. Mail to the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department, 1 N. University Dr., Mailbox 307, Plantation, Fl., 33324, or by sending an email to A request in writing should be addressed to the Environmental Compliance Administrator and should contain all relevant information about the subject of your request including:

  • Subject Name
  • Subject Address
  • What type of information you are requesting (enforcement information, discharge information, complaints, inspection results, etc.)
  • Time frame of the search (Our current computer database has information from 2001 forward).
